Winter Kiss by L.P. Dover, Cover Reveal

RELEASING: FEB 1, 2015

What do you want in your stocking this Christmas? How about your favorite Gloves Off fighter, Ryley Jameson?

After moving away to their cabin, Ashleigh and Ryley have grown to love each other more and more every single day. Their lives will be forever changed as soon as their twins are born, but Ryley is determined to get what he wants this holiday season. He just hopes Ashleigh will give him this gift before it’s too late.

Perhaps Christmas bells aren’t the only sounds you hear this season. Maybe there’ll be some wedding bells and the pitter patter of little feet. It’s a holiday wish you don’t want to miss.

EXCERPT

“What’s wrong?” I asked, whispering the words. “You don’t look right.”

He took off his gloves and brushed his fingers down my cheek. I was surprised they felt so warm after being out in the cold for the past hour. “Let’s go inside before you freeze out here.”

Grabbing my hand, he led me inside and shut the door. I stood there staring at him, my breaths coming out in pants while I waited on him to take off his jacket and boots. “Ryley, you’re freaking me out. What’s wrong?”

Taking a deep breath, he let it out and slowly turned my way. He was nervous. But what could he possibly be nervous about? He grasped my hands and pulled me over to the couch. When we sat down, he lowered his gaze to my hand, the one I wore my engagement ring on.

“I will never forget the day you told me you would marry me,” he said.

“Neither will I.” The memories flooded my mind. It was a cool, brisk autumn day out in our meadow. We had just made love on the grass when he slipped the ring on my finger without me realizing it. It was a good day. “But I want you to tell me what has you looking so lost. I thought everything was good this morning when you left.”

“Believe me, angel. Things are better than good. I’ve just been doing some thinking and I wanted to talk to you.” He looked down at my ring again and twirled it around my finger. “I gave you this ring because I love you, and because I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life without you by my side.”

I squeezed his hand and moved closer. “I feel the same way. I’m more than ready for next October to get here so we can get married.”

Releasing a heavy sigh, he lifted his blue eyes to mine. There was no trace of my playful Ryley, he was nothing but serious. “I don’t want to wait until October.”

READ FROM THE BEGINNING:

Two is always better than one.

What would you do if you were given the chance to spend the night with not one, but two fighters? Would you do it? Could you open yourself up to the pleasures they offered and do exactly what they said in order to pass on to the next round?

It was common knowledge that Ryley and Camden Jameson, well-known MMA fighters and identical twins, were just as aggressive and passionate in the bed as they were in the ring. The only problem was that if you didn’t pass their test on the first night, then you didn’t proceed to the next round. They loved a good fight, and that's what they got when they met Ashleigh Warren.

Ashleigh knew what was going to happen when the twins approached her with a proposition, and needless to say, she knew exactly how to handle them … or so she thought. The rules had changed, and in order to get them both she had to first spend one night with each and last until they were done with her. It was a proposition she couldn’t refuse, but she knew it wouldn’t be easy to win. However, it was one that she was going to enjoy.

UFC Middleweight fighter, Ryley Jameson, swore it would never happen again. He was done with his ex, and over the pain she’d inflicted when she left him. At least, that’s what he tells people. Maybe if he says it enough, he’ll begin to believe it himself.

Regretting her decision to let Ryley go, Ashleigh Warren comes back into town and confronts him. Holding only one secret back, she puts the rest on the line and asks for a second chance. Too bad he’s not going to let her off easy.

Camden Jameson loves his twin brother, but his jealousy runs deep. They may be identical in looks, but that’s where the similarities end. When Ashleigh comes back into Ryley’s life, Camden has the perfect opportunity for revenge. Two birds, one stone.

A journey to the Dark Side affects them all, but only one feels the true sting of revenge.

My Soul For You by Morgana Phoenix

You are cordially invited to have your heart’s desire come true.

For Kaitlin Claremont this is a very tall order. What wouldn’t an orphan girl living over of her aunt’s shop wish for? But when her one night of passion in the arms of sexy and completely out of her reach Kaleb turns into a nightmare, Katie realizes quickly that nothing is as it seems and there is so much more to Kaleb O'Reilly than she ever bargained for.

Kaleb has his own demons and even with all his training, he’s not prepared for the brown-eyed beauty, nor can he deny he wants her in a way that very much complicates everything. But what happens when the hunger wins and his true purpose puts Katie at risk? Can he protect her from his mistakes? And can Katie protect those she loves from a monster with no mercy?

Time is running out.
Will they kill or be killed?

My Take:
5 YUMMY stars

Oh. My. Goodness!! What a sexy, yummy book! It had it all, the suspense, the humor, the steaminess, the hot guy, and the plot was sooo good. I seriously LOVE Morgana's writing. I love that it wasn't predictable and had me guessing through the entire story.

Kaleb? Seriously one of my favorite book boys now. I love that he was so protective and caring of Katie. And I have to be honestly, I've been there before where I've been attracted to the "off limits" guy and this just made the story even better. Playing out a fantasy I'm sure most girls have had.

Katie was such a strong character. She'd been through so much and it was so hard for her trust anyone. It broke my heart a bit with everything that happens with her, but I loved that Kaleb fought to be by her side the entire time. I can't wait for more books from Morgana.

Would I recommend to others: Absolutely
Language and sexual content: strong language and sexual content
Appropriate reading age: 18+

Title: Mine to Spell (Mine #2)
Author: Janeal Falor
Publish Date: May 5, 2014
Genre: YA Fantasy

Summary:
Cynthia has always hidden from her father’s hexes behind her older sister. When her family gains independence unheard of for women, she’s relieved that her days of harsh punishments are over. But as her seventeenth birthday approaches—the typical age to be sold to a new master—death threats endanger her sisters. She now faces two options: run or meet society’s expectations.

For once, Cynthia isn’t going to let her older sister shield her from the problem. She’s going to prove to herself, her sisters, and society that her family isn’t a threat to their traditions. She willingly chooses to be purchased by a new master. A bold step that takes her somewhere she never thought she would go and to a man she might possibly fall in love with. With his help, she may just find a way to save her sisters while discovering how to stand up for herself. If she lives long enough.

And now, for the fun...my interview with Janeal:

Author Spotlight Interview Questions
1. Quickly, give us the title and genre of your book and a 30-word or less tagline:
Mine to Spell is a YA Fantasy.

To save her sister, Cynthia chooses the one thing she despises most: a new master.

2. Who is your intended audience and why should they read your book?
It is geared toward teenagers, but really anyone who enjoys fantasy will find something they like about it. They should read it because of the unique world, that while brutal, comes to life as Cynthia fights against the chains society's placed on her. A good mix of fantasy and relationships with a love story that isn't the main focus of the story but has a lot to add.

3. How did you come up with the title of your book or series?
The title of the book just came naturally as I wrote it. The phrase popped out so I liked it and used it. The series, I used the similar 'mine' word in each of them to connect the whole thing together.

4. Tell us a little bit about your cover art. Who designed it? Why did you go with that particular image/artwork?
I designed it myself. I had struggled a lot finding an image I wanted and even tried hiring a cover artist at one point but nothing was quite working out. Then I stumbled across two images that I loved and couldn't decide on. They both fit the book and Cynthia so well, I was torn. So I put it up for a vote for readers to pick their favorite. The final cover image was their choice and really draws on the emotions Cynthia feels in the book.

5. Who is your favorite character from your book and why?
In Mine to Spell, Lukas is my favorite. He's just awesome. I loved writing his character, getting to know him, and seeing how he interacts with Cynthia. Lukas = *happy sigh*

6. How about your least favorite character?  What makes them less appealing to you?
I absolutely despise the Grand Chancellor. Of course he's vital to the story, but he's vicious and cunning and will do  anything to get what he wants no matter the cost. Dude needs to learn how to draw the line somewhere and find some better values. Or, you know, get knocked upside the head.

7. If you could change ONE thing about your novel, what would it be?  Why?
Probably to have better descriptions. While I don't like to bog down the world with descriptions, having enough of them is one of my weaknesses. I keep working on it and hopefully one day I'll get it figured out.

8. Give us an interesting fun fact or a few about your book or series:
Writing Serena's character made me learn to love wearing skirts in the summer time.
Writing Cynthia's character made me decide to cut my own hair, something I've always wanted to do.

9. What other books are similar to your own?  What makes them alike?
I've heard it described as a mix of Defiance by C. J. Redwine and The Handmaid's Tale By Marget Atwood. I believe this is because it has a fantasy/dystopian world where men rule over women.

10. Do you have any unique talents or hobbies?
I love fencing! It is the ultimate way to not only get exercise but to have a blast. Nothing like stabbing people and being stabbed back, though I try to avoid the second and excel at the first.

11. How can we contact you or find out more about your books?
I love to hear from readers by email at janealfalor@gmail.com and it's totally fine to call me Janeal. Mrs./Ms. Falor is still really bizarre to me.
Also, you can always find out more about my books on my website, janealfalor.com. There is new stuff posted whenever relevant, plus there is a section on their I keep updated about what manuscripts I'm currently working on.

12. What can we expect from you in the future?
I'm working on the last two books in the Mine series. I'm also about half way ready to publish a YA Epic Fantasy/Utopia mashup duology that I'm super excited about. Other than that, I have so many ideas, we'll have to see what calls to me when I finish my current projects, but I expect there will be many more books to come.

13. What can readers who enjoy your book do to help make it successful?
Oooh, great question!

The #1 thing you can do is tell people about it. Hear a book is good from a friend is HUGE. Another majorly helpful thing is leaving reviews where you purchased the book (like Amazon, B&N, Apple, ect.), Goodreads and/or other review site.

It also helps to talk about my book online, whether that means on your personal website, facebook, twitter, voting in polls or starting converstantions about it on Goodreads. Bascially, anything you can to to let people in real life and on line know how you feel about my book, or any author's book you enjoy, makes a big difference. Plus, every time you do one of these thing, you get cool points which you can turn in for high fives any time you see me.

14. Do you have any tips for readers or advice for other writers trying to get published?
Work hard and believe in yourself. It takes a lot of time, research, commitment, and countless other things to be successful in the ever changing publishing market. Despite the hard work involved, it's definitely worth it. If you set your mind to it, you can make it happen.

15. Is there anything else you’d like to say?
How about a little hint for Mine to Spell? There is a character who was in You Are Mine that doesn't play a part in Mine to Spell until the end. But when he/she does, let's just say Cynthia is not a happy camper.

16. And now, before you go, how about a snippet from your book that is meant to intrigue and tantalize us:
The moment her pen lifts from the document, the warlock who is now my owner whips the paper in front of him, scans it, and stares right at me, a hungry grin on his face. The change is so sudden and jarring, there’s no time to fake anything. My pure shock must be showing.
I hurry to exchange the surprise from my expression for something more pleasant. Despite the itch to, I don’t move or fuss under his stare, yet neither do I look down like I should. Might as well start my new ownership off with the expectation of defiance, even if I’m pleasant about it. It doesn’t seem to bother him, though. Another good sign?
He stands and heads for the door. “Come.”
Is he speaking to me?
“Would you like us to join you somewhere?” Serena’s voice sounds as confused as I feel.
He whirls around and sneers at her. “Not you. I’ve no further use for you, wench. I was speaking to my property.”
What have I done?
